The first period of his life was devoted to the violin. So his name is wellknown as a name of the artist from the Czech broadcasting (13 years old the first ) and Supraphon – there he was making a lot of single violin compositions. In the year 1955 he became the International laureate in Warsaw.
The his practise was expanded as working in the chamber orchestras. He was the first player in the Novak´s quartet and Czech nonet. He was also the concert player in the State theatre in Brno, Smetana´s theatre in Prague and in the symphonic orchestra in Prague Czech broadcast.
For the next conducting period there was Libor Hlaváček armed with many experiences. His concern was situated in chamber playing and the detail profesional work. The way to the baton was leading through the successful activity for many years in the Musici pragenses and VIRTUOSI PRAGENSES. He based both of them and he was leading them. Gradually he cooperated with our first symfonical and chamber orchestras. There were exclusive results very soon, even in studios. The enumeration of his records took up the most part of Supraphon´s catalogue. After the short activity in the Middle – Czech symphonic orchestra in Poděbrady entered as a principal conductor of a East – Czech state chamber orchestra in Pardubice. There started the new era for the collective cooperation with Jaroslav Vodňanský for the first time and after that with Libor Pešek, personal interpretation and style, maximal technical perfection e.t.c.
His the rich pieces of knowledge he realized in the pedagogical regions too. He educated a lot of future excellent artists at the Prague conservatory and realized the monumental artist actions. He studied the main actions for the 1974 year with the students – considered the first version of the Smetana´s „Prodaná nevěsta“. The best success was the victory in the international Karajan´s competition in the West Berlin. There was this orchestra given into the biggest degree in the 1972 year.

The chamber orchestra VIRTUOSI PRAGENSES was established by one of the first Czech virtuosos and conductors Libor Hlaváček.
His name is known as a name of a lot of Czech violin virtuosos and conductors.
Libor Hlaváček´s origin is situated to Znojmo (he was born 9.1. 1926 there ). His exceptional musical talent was manifested since his childhood. He was studying playing the violin, his the first teacher was father of him. The professor F. Kudláček continued and developed his talent at the Janáček´s academy.
He was always the student of the national artists as a V.Talich and Z.Chalabala, who was important for his continual work.
